Lad Creates App So You'll Never Be Caught By Your Other Half In The Pub Ever Again

We've all got that mate...

Ever been desperate to go for a drink with your pals after work but your other half wants you home for dinner by a specific time?

Bravely you decide to quickly nip out for one, maybe two if you're that thirsty, before heading home. So long as you're home by the time she wanted, no harm no foul, right? Wrong.

She's bound to call you. And when she calls you and you're in the pub with a particularly loud group of 18 year olds that think they own the place on the table next to you, you're in for an earful. Until now...

Allow us to introduce to you the Bardis Teleporter, the app that will put the background noise of your choice on a phone call so you never get caught out at the pub when you're not supposed to be there.

Do you get it? BARdis Teleporter... like the Tardis from Dr Who teleports the Dr anywhere he wants to go, so can the BARdis transport you anywhere you need to pretend to be. Clever, that.

Anyway, the new app is the brainchild of entrepreneur Richard Hardy, 40, who owns appiy.co.uk, a business specialising in creating apps for local businesses.

He told us: "The idea came about when I was out with a few mates down the pub. One of them constantly kept getting missed calls from his missus to see where he was but he couldn't answer because she'd have known where he was and gone mental at him.

"We started joking about how we could create background noises to help him disguise where he was and that's when I thought I could make an app.

"I mentioned it to someone else and they said they could have used an app like that because they were running late for a table at a restaurant and wanted to say they were stuck in traffic but were actually at a local bar."

The app took five months to build and design and with Euro 2016 coming up, Richard believes it is the perfect time for lads up and down the country to download and make the most of it.

It is free to download and you can check out more information on the Bardis Teleporter's Facebook page.

"There are far too many people out there who need the Bardis Teleporter in their life."

I have several mates who wimp out on a couple of drinks because of their other halves and they will certainly be being told about this app.

No more excuses, lads. Plus, hanging out with the lads is meant to be good for you. Amen to that.
