These Mysterious LADs Are The Brain Boxes Behind The Dead Funny Signs On The London Underground

Bloody love these guys.

If you've ever been to a London Underground station at rush hour, you know what it's like: overcrowded platforms, sweaty train carriages, and irritated commuters. Basically, it's hell on earth.

But help is on its way. In a random act of kindness, notice boards all across the capital's Tube stations, usually reserved for dreaded announcements about indefinite train delays, have been repurposed to make that nightmare journey just a bit more bearable.

Two LADs are taking putting a smile on travellers' faces just one step further, No One and Everyone (N1 and E1 for short) are the two anonymous station assistants working at North Greenwich station who, since March this year, have been entertaining passengers as "All on the board".

N1 and E1, who pride themselves on producing entirely original work instead of quotes from the internet, are just two of the viral heroes that Halifax and Visa are championing as part of their mission to make the everyday more rewarding.

Watch the video above to see the moment Halifax and Visa rewarded another viral legend, the Singing Dentist, with the chance to collab with Beat Fox.

On their names, the pair say that they call themselves No One and Everyone, "so that if somebody asks who wrote the poem we can be like 'no one wrote it' or 'everyone wrote it'." "We saw that people were laughing and taking pics", the pair told LADbible. "Then artists started retweeting the poems and it just grew from there" they continued.

Being so close to the O2, it's easy for them to get inspired. Whenever there is a big gig, they make sure to dedicate a themed notice board to the artist of the day. Fans travelling to the Ed Sheeran concert in May were greeted with a poem featuring a Shape Of You cover.

Their efforts have not only reached TFL customers. Comedian Micky Flanagan liked his poem so much he went so far as to track them down to invite them backstage.

N1 and E1 are flattered by the love they receive for their work, but they prefer to remain anonymous. They're not in it for the fame; they really just want to make their passengers happy and are even known to come out for a quick dance in front of the escalators, always wearing their signature masks. When we asked them why want to remain masked, they said "we want to keep up the mystery and fun. A bit like Banksy."

The guys have also been using their newfound celebrity status to draw attention to some more serious issues that are close to many Londoners' hearts. They've come up with poems that raise awareness of cancer and mental health issues, many of which have been featured on charity websites. Instead of offering unqualified advice, they just want to show people that they are not alone and help them get through yet another tough journey "We're not offering advice.' The pair say. "We're just listening."
