Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez Makes Return To Social Media Following Death Of Her Dad

A former Miss Colombia who left social media following the death of her father has made a return to thank her fans for their support during the tough time and she shared a video of herself.

Ariadna Gutierrez, 24, took a break from Twitter, FB and Insta-ing after he dad, Wilson, died six weeks ago. But she made a return, sharing a video of herself dancing in a swimming costume on the beach, while taking the time to thank her followers for their love and support.

She wrote: "Although sadness sometimes appears in your life, there is always a time to make you be stronger to stand up, keep on going and remembering every moment with love.

"Thanks a lot guys for the support, love... you have been more than a family to me. I love you guys!"

The heart-wrenching post was flooded with comments from fans offering their support and best wishes as well as saying they 'respect' and 'admire her' for how she has handled the passing of her dad.

Ariadna announced his death in a post at the beginning of April, sharing a photo of her father laughing as well as a lengthy tribute, in Spanish, to her 'warrior of life'. The post went on to read: "You were my angel on earth and now you are in heaven.

"There are no words to describe the sadness and pain so deep that it invades my heart and that of my whole family at this time, you left this world but your energy and your spirit will continue forever and stronger than ever in our lives."

Ariadna then commented on the strength he showed during his battle with the disease which eventually took his life.

She ended: "I am so proud to say that you are my father and I will always leave your legacy high with all the values and teachings of life that you left me.

"Now everything is different daddy, you went from living with us to live IN US! I LOVED YOU FOR EVERYDAY."

Ariadna was Miss Colombia in 2014, and was a runner-up Miss Universe. Since then, she's gone on to star in a number of movies, including xXx: Return of Xander Cage and she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.
