Bridezilla Calls Off Wedding And Slams 'Snake' Friends For Refusing To Pay $1,500

The bride made it clear to her guests that 'if you couldn't contribute, you weren't invited to our exclusive wedding'

What is it you say during wedding vows? "For better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health."

Basically you're promising to love each other regardless of circumstances - circumstances like not being able to have the extravagant £60k wedding you dreamt of. It's called tough shit, don't live beyond your means.

We're absolutely sure that planning a wedding can be a stressful time for anyone - in fact, if you've been even slightly involved in one you'll know first hand that it's a pretty tense time.

But one bride, called Susan, wanted to be 'a Kardashian for a day' so badly that she demanded $1,500 (£1,160) from every guest - anyone who didn't pay, couldn't come. Simple as that. Luckily for us, the whole thing was screenshotted and posted to the Internet's prime source for sinister activity - that's right, Mumsnet.

Now, it makes you wonder how much this wedding was to begin with - $60,000 (£46k) to be exact.

How much had the bride and groom saved up, we hear you ask? $15,000 (£11,500). So they were expecting the people they invited to be at their wedding not to shell out 100 quid for a night's stay at the reception venue then? Oh no, they expected them to (collectively) pay $45,000.

And in a Facebook rant, the bridezilla told her 'friends' that the amount she was requesting was 'clearly, not a lot' adding that it would have been 'quite manageable' - why don't you pay it then, Susan?

Anyway, she was so pissed off that she called off her big day. Yep, she went mad.

She continued: "We'd sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1500. We talked to a few people who even promised us more to make our dream come true.

"My maid of honour (who shall not be named) pledged $5,000 along with her planning services. We tearfully thanked and accepted.

"My ex's family offered to contribute $3,000. So our request for $1500 for all other guests was not fucking out of the ordinary.

"Like, we made it CLEAR. If you couldn't contribute, you weren't invited to our exclusive wedding. It's a once in a lifetime party."

How could it possibly get worse?!

Susan explained: "My ex came into the room and offered to get a vegan wedding done. I laughed in his face, but he was dead serious. He wanted those cheap, raggedy, filthy, whore-like Vegas weddings. I mean WHAT the fuck??"

To anyone that's had a Vegas wedding - don't worry, Susan is a little irate.

She continued: "I then called my maid of honor and cried my eyes out. Instead of sympathy, I was told that I was asking for way too much and I should stick to my budget. I mean..no words can describe. How could someone who offered me THOUSANDS OF FUCKING DOLLARS then deny me MY promised money and then tell me to shift down my budget????

"She KNOWS my fucking DREAM was a blowout wedding. I just wanted to be a Kardashian for a day and then life my life like normal."

That's it we're done. If only Susan was too.

She ended the post: "Anyway. I am exhausted. I am bone tired. My heart is not the same. Its stone cold. Fragmented. Empty.

"I need to get away from this awful society. How hard would it to have been to fucking donate, friends? Do I matter to you? Just fucking give me money for my wedding. Won't even sugarcoat."

Yeah, that last part seems pretty clear by this stage.

What does the future hold for her now - well, she's going backpacking in South America. So good luck, Susan! You go and live your best life there. Hopefully you might bump into a Kardashian or two.
