Just over two months ago, the Cassidy family upped sticks and travelled to America so their three-year-old daughter could receive live-saving cancer treatment.
After a tumour was found behind little Emily's eye, there was no other option than to leave the family home behind in Stechford, Birmingham and try their luck across the pond.
The home had damaged walls and the roof and windows all needed repair and refurbishment. There was damp and mould everywhere.
However, after Emily had responded well to the treatment and they were allowed back to the UK, they returned home to find their neighbours had clubbed together to renovate their entire home.

The walls had been rebuilt, they had a new roof, the windows were replaced and they had a brand new kitchen and bathroom. The garden had also been landscaped.
"It's amazing, I can't believe it's mine," said Emily's mother Lucy. "As I walked in I felt like my heart was going to burst, it's gorgeous, like a showhome."
Now to keep it that way. And she'll need all the luck in the world with two other daughters, Chelsea and Chloe, as well as her husband Phil to look after.

The makeover was carried out by volunteers from the Help Harry Help Others charity, started by Georgie Moseley who started the charity in memory of her son who passed away following a four-year battle with cancer.
Lucy continued: "This is going to make a huge difference to our lives. It's now somewhere Emily can come home and relax after her chemo and we can have friends round without feeling embarrassed.
"I can't wait for our first Christmas in our new house. We are eternally grateful to Georgie and the team."
A truly heartwarming story.
