Are You An Avocado Fiend? This May Just Be Your Dream Job

Are you looking for a change from the daily grind? Do you like Australia? Do you have two or more years' experience in 'smashing avocados on toast or similar'?

If you answered yes to all of the above, your luck might just be in, because a pop-up restaurant down under is looking for a new staff member and all you'll have to do is eat avocados.

But you won't just be eating plain avocados; you'll be sampling the restaurant's 20 delicious dishes.

We're talking smoothies, beautifully presented avo on toast, avocado flavoured ice cream - or 'Avocornetto', as they like to call it - and much, much more.

The job description reads: "Australia's first avocado pop-up eatery is coming to Sydney and we're looking for our city's number one avocado aficionado to be our Head of Avo Control.

"Good Fat opens its doors on 2 November for one month only, giving Sydney-siders the chance to indulge in edible gold (ahem.... green..) while not breaking the bank.

"As Head of Avo Control you will taste test each of the 20 avocado dishes on the menu before Good Fat opens its doors to the public, guaranteeing an avo-licious experience for every customer."

The successful candidate will also have to get busy on social media and share their experience with their followers with the hashtag #OzAvoGoodFat.

Reckon you might be the perfect fit? Good Fat state that the right applicant should fit the following criteria:

  • A minimum two years experience in smashing avocados on toast or similar
  • Proven knowledge of how to check avocado ripeness by gently pressing the sweet spot and a healthy history of successful avocado selection
  • Be available on 31 October - 2 November at Good Fat in Surry Hills

Think you've got what it takes? Well, you better get yourself on that plane because you haven't got long left.
