They'll only be available for that price at Tesco stores so you better stock up.

Whenever you hear someone talk about 'the good old days' it's usually to complain about how things in 2019 are terrible.

While opinions on those topics can differ, I think we can all agree that the price of Freddos is always good when it's low. But the delicious packet of chocolate has crept up in price over the last few years.

Well, do we have news for you: they'll only cost you 10p for this week and this week only at Tesco.

According to the Sun, Freddos are returning to the same price they were when they launched in 1994 because the UK supermarket is celebrating 100 years in business and want to give back to customers.

A statement from Tesco reads: "We understand that the nation wanted to see the price of the iconic Freddo chocolate bars return to the original price of 10p.

"Given we are celebrating 100 years of great value, we're really pleased to have been able to give our customers what they want, and have some fun at the same time!"

Conversation about the price of Freddos hasn't been contained to the fellas at the pub, it's gone all the way to the top in Britain.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn spoke with football-focussed media outlet Copa90, and the opposition leader was asked whether he thought there was a 'secret Freddo tax that we don't know about'.

"I think there is a very obvious motive: those that make Freddos know it's popular, so they're making a bit more money," Corbyn replied.

He added: "I think we need to examine this question in some detail and see if there is excessive profit-making by those who make Freddos - then they've got us to answer to."

There was outrage when stores around the UK started selling the chocolate pieces for a whopping 30p, prompting #Justice4Freddo hashtag rants on social media and even public demonstrations.

Better lap them up while they're cheap.

Outlets listened to the cries from the people and lowered it down to 25p which seemd to keep the masses happy. But the news that they'll be slashed in price will probably only fuel the desire to see them cheaper forever.

The likelihood of that is slim to zilch considering that's a huge profit that's being missed, but hey, a boy can dream.

In 2016, Voucher Cloud produced 'The Freddo Index', which showed that the price of a Freddo could be 38p by the end of the next decade.
