We all miss certain things from our childhood, when everything was new and sparkly, but sometimes what you really loved when you were a kid turns out to be underwhelming when you grow up.
That's the problem with rose tinted glasses, everything in the past has a nice glow about it. Unless of course, there is a particular food or drink from the past that you can no longer get - then your memories taunt you.
As you may know, Adult Swim's Ricky and Morty is really obsessed with the Szechuan Sauce that McDonald's released when Disney's Mulan came out in 1998. Apparently it tasted really good, so good that is now become something of a legend.
And the rants about the sauce only make you want it more.
"I want the chicken McNugget Szechuan Sauce... if it takes nine seasons," rants Rick.

The creators really really want that sauce. And reminding the public of the Szechuan sauce, which was a one-time thing 18 years ago, whipped the public into a frenzy. Things turned to eBay where someone had a jug of the stuff (apparently it doesn't go off) and people when crazy bidding for up - getting to over £8000 for one jug!
Even Deadmau5 got involved.
But luckily for us, McDonald's is a fan of Rick and Morty and is releasing for one day only, a limited edition run of Szechuan Sauce in selected restaurants, to launch their Buttermilk Crispy Tenders which look juicy enough to make you forget about Chicken McNuggets.
Dreams really do come true.
But there's a twist. When McDonald's say it's limited, we're talking really limited - it's only in certain restaurants in certain US states.

Some of those lucky enough to live in those particular towns even started queuing hours earlier to make sure they got their mitts on the stuff...
I think it's time for another Rick and Morty episode. We will not be satisfied until Szechaun Sauce goes worldwide. Nine more seasons of ranting please, Rick and Morty, your work is not done.
