We've all been there. You've just woken up, your mouth is dry, head's pounding. The only thing that could possibly save you from this monster of a hangover is Maccie's coke with ice. No ice? No thanks, to be honest.
While you're ordering the coke, you may as well also indulge in everything off the menu, right?
Well McDonald's in New Zealand is living in 2118 while we're all still in 2018. The guys over there have come up with a $40 Mega ShareBox, and just check out what's included:
2 x Big Mac
2 x McChicken
2 x Cheeseburger
4 x Medium Fries
4 x Medium Soft Drinks
4 x Regular Sundaes
Have you ever seen anything more beautiful? I don't really want to think about the calorie count, but I know for a fact that I'd happily share that with one other person. And by that, I mean myself.
That said, if you don't reckon you can manage all that (we've got faith in you), there are other sizes available. The $30 Legends ShareBox includes 2 x Big Mac, 1 x McChicken, 1 x Filet-o-Fish, 1 x 6pk Chicken McNuggets, 2 x Medium Fries, 2 x Small Fries and 4 x Medium Soft Drinks, while the $20 Classics ShareBox provides a spread of 1 x Big Mac, 1 x Cheeseburger, 1 x Quarter Pounder, 1 x McChicken, 2 x Small Fries, 2 x Medium Fries, 2 x Small Soft Drinks and 2 x Med Soft Drinks.
And if you prefer to chow down on breakfast food to soak up the booze from the night before, their antipodean neighbours in nearby Australia have another ace card up their sleeves to sort you out. The Big Brekkie Burger is available in Aussie McDonald's stores, and it sounds like the perfect way to start the day.
According to McDonald's Australia: "It starts with a warm, crisp hash brown sandwiched between melting cheese, rasher bacon and a freshly cracked egg.
"Finished with a 100% Aussie beef patty and a generous dollop of BBQ sauce in between a toasted sesame seed bun."
If you want to get a piece of the action, it'll set you back about $6.75 for the sandwich on its own, or if you want to make a meal out of it you can get it with a hash brown and a coffee for $11.05.
With share boxes and Big Brekkie Burgers now doing the rounds on McDonald's menus, hangovers should be a thing of the past. Or we can at least have a good stab at eating them into oblivion before feeling sick and going back to bed, which is also totally fine.
