With barbecue season well and truly in full swing, we're always on the lookout for something that'll help us not only keep up with the Joneses, but well and truly knock the socks off of their summery spread.

Well, now Morrisons has revealed a huge, meaty ace card that will make your barbecue better than all the rest, with the re-launch of the 'Daddy of all Burgers' that's four times the size of your normal quarter pounder.

If you do the maths, that means it weights a whopping 1lb - which economises on the old effort front, as it saves you having to slap the several patties that we all know you're going to end up eating on the grill, one by one.

The monster burgers cost just £3 - which is a pretty good bang for your buck, given that it's 18cm wide.

To complete the package, Morrisons is also selling giant burger buns (aptly titled the 'Daddy of all Buns') for 50p - meaning all you'll need is a good squirt of ketchup or a few slices of tomato to pop inside. Maybe even a couple of rashers of bacon if you're feeling particularly fancy.

The giant burger is a special promotion made especially for Father's Day, though we reckon it'd be a good idea to stock up on a few for all those summer barbecues you've got planned.

According to the Daily Star, one customer said:"This burger did not disappoint, very tasty and good value!

"The packet says fry for 4 minutes each side, I found that 3 minutes each side then 4 minutes in the oven resulted in a nicely cooked juicy burger.

"I hope Morrisons stocks this all year round."

We do, too.

Morrisons launched another 'Big Daddy' meal recently - in the form of a humongous fry-up, which is being dubbed the largest cooked breakfast in a UK supermarket.

Served up on a plate so giant we're pretty sure it's theoretically a serving platter, the mega 19-piece breakfast includes three rashers of British bacon, three British pork sausages, three hash browns, two fried eggs, two slices of black pudding, two slices of fried bread, two half tomatoes, baked beans and sliced mushrooms.

Helen Tordoff from Morrisons said: ''Our standard cooked breakfast is one of our most popular meals on the menu, but customers have asked for one that's even bigger.

The 'Big Daddy Breakfast' is an excellent choice for customers with a big appetite.''

With eight more items than Morrisons' standard breakfast, the massive meal will set you back just £6 ($8) - and is available at in-store cafés now.

Go hard or go home, right?
