Reese's Is Bringing Back Peanut Butter Creme Eggs For The Second Year Running

The eggs went down a storm last year, but they're not exactly easy to get your hands on - not in the UK at least

If you're enjoying a welcome break from smashing endless amounts of chocolate into your face don't get too comfortable, because as far as the confectionery companies are concerned their next opportunity to flog you some brown (as it were) is just around the corner in the shape of Easter.

That's right, advent calendars are out and chocolate eggs aplenty are in, and while there's lots to choose from, this bad boy from Reese's may well be our favourite.

Reese's, the same brand behind such delights as Reese's Pieces and Peanut Butter Cups, is bringing back its hotly anticipated Peanut Butter Crème Egg for a second year running.

It pretty much does what it says on the tin. Just imagine a regular Crème Egg but scrape all that sugary white stuff out and replace it with gooey peanut butter creme.

The eggs will be sold in packs of five, and while eating traditional Crème Eggs has always posed a bit of a dilemma in terms of how exactly to do it - Cadbury's even managed to get a lengthy marketing campaign out of it - the Reese's Peanut Butter Crème Eggs come complete with a handy little spoon to make stuffing your face that little bit easier.

Sadly, as is the case with all the best sugary stuff, the peanut butter eggs are currently only available to the mass market in the US, but luckily several independent sweet shops around the UK made the effort to bring the treats to local shores last year and chances are 2018 will be no different.

For example, Candyland in Galway stocked the Reese's eggs last year, as evidenced on the shop's Instagram account.

So, if you're desperate to get your hands on a box of the Easter treats you might have to do a serious bit of internet scouring, either that or it's a trip to Ireland or America - the perfect excuse for an impromptu holiday if you ask us.
