Someone Made A Salad Lasagne And People Are Freaked Out

It's an incredibly efficient way of serving a salad but it still looks weird.

They say the world is your oyster. The same thing can be said about the kitchen, you shouldn't be held back by society's expectations of dishes and if you want to create something that you saw in your mind's eye then you should go for it with all your might.

But just expect that if you post it on social media, you'll get read to filth if it's too weird.

That's exactly what one person found when they posted a picture of their interesting looking salad on Reddit's 'Awful Taste But Great Execution' page.

It's a goddamn lasagne salad. Instead of classic minced meat and some lasagne sheets, we're witnessing a dish that has layers upon layers of what appears to be tomatoes, lettuce, carrot and maybe a bit of cheese.

Normally, when you're making a salad you'd chop, slice or dice all your ingredients and add them together before stirring them round to make a well balanced dish.

But this surely would take an incredible amount of time, patience and preparation; so on that basis the creator of this lasagne salad gets a solid 10 for effort.

It seems like opinions on the dish are divided.

One person wrote: "This genius just discovered the proper method of serving salad. No more 'digging' for an extra slice of tomato."

Another supporter added: "It would probably make me eat more salad, but could do with different leaves."

A third said: "Looks like a convenient way to eat salad to me."

But on the flip side, some people just could wrap their heads around the design.

"My main issue is that you can't get sauce on all of the salad if it's packed so tightly," said one complainer.

"This should be illegal," wrote a second hater.

A third was pretty brutal by saying: "Whoever brought that to the party should be sent home."

This is a safe space and we welcome the ingenuity to mix up the classic salad for a group setting. But it's still a bit freaky to see something that's usually a mess of food look so organised and efficient.

Many commented that it's the perfect way to serve a salad for lots of people because it means that no one can swoop in and take all the good bits, leaving just a bit of green at the bottom for the people at the back.
