The festive season is well and truly upon us so it's definitely about time we started to get a little bit merry.
And what better way is there to do that than with the strongest gin legally available in the UK? I'll tell you the answer, just in case you're wondering: there isn't one.
Strane London Dry Gin - Uncut Strength is the UK's strongest gin at a whopping 76% ABV, so you might want to think twice about pouring that second glass. Unless you want to end up KOed until the New Year, that is.

The super strength spirit was thought up by the Smögen distillery in Sweden and has since established itself in the spirit market, both in its 76% Batch 2 format and the only ever-so-slightly weaker 75.3% first batch.
"This is the Strane London Dry Gin Uncut Strength - a particularly intense Swedish gin which has been bottled at an eye-watering 76% ABV," reads the description of the gin on the Master of Malt website.
"Made with the same botanical selection as their classic strength expression, including basil, garden mint, sage, lime rind, lemon flesh and more, though obviously with a much higher ABV."
According to the description, the gin has no problem standing out in a cocktail although you are advised to dilute it well. Otherwise it's you who will be standing out.

Of course, bottles of the super strength aren't cheap, and they can be bought from Masters of Malt at £58 for a 50cl bottle. It's a bit steep but, hey, you'll probably only need a glass and you'll be out for the night. Saves you having to buy rounds for everyone else.
Strane Gin do other London Gins too - a Merchant strength at 47.4% which comes with cinnamon and liquorice tones, a citrusy 57.1% Navy Strength which suits G&Ts, and an Oaked gin which makes a good replacement for whisky, apparently.
If you're looking for something more colourful to drink at Christmas time, you can also check out drinks by Dream Line, a new line of gin and wine cocktails such as this blue gin cocktail.
Dream Line also sells shimmering bottles of Muscat which come in bronze, pearl, amber and gold.

These bottles of white wine are priced at just £18, and they all have slightly different flavours to test your taste buds - and your eyes for that matter.

You won't need any of these if you decide to go for the Uncut Strength gin, of course. At least you'll have enough to keep your guests occupied.
