There's A Massive Unlimited Cheese And Mulled Wine Festival Coming

Grate!

A giant cheese and mulled wine festival is coming and it sounds like potentially the best thing ever.

Who doesn't love unlimited food and drink?! And the fact it's cheese... God damn.

Its Facebook page reads: "Have you ever dreamed of being able to walk around a giant cheese board? Carving off slices of your favourite Emmental, Red Leicester, Edam, Brie and every other cheese you can imagine? Surrounded by cheese, rolling around in cheese...eating so much ch...sorry, got carried away!

"Well anyway, we have. Lots. So this Christmas we are going to make this a reality. A cheesy, melty, mulled wine-fueled reality. This is going to change your lives forever.

"This December 16th, we bring London it's first ever Giant Cheese Board - where you can take as much cheese & mulled wine as you like all day long. Yes, that's unlimited cheese and mulled wine on a giant cheeseboard...and a party too."

Wait. Hold the phone. A giant cheeseboard, with unlimited food and drink... and then a party?

They're holding the event at Studio 338 in London, and will be turning their terrace into a massive, oversized cheese board. They describe it as 'one you can walk around on as if you're in a giant's kitchen'.

That sounds amazing.

Afterwards, they're getting some DJs to come down and play some 'cheesy pop'. Clever.

Tickets are £30 per person, and you get:

  • Unlimited free cheese (and crackers)
  • Free mulled wine
  • Served by giant mice (who will help you navigate the Cheese Board)
  • Access to (and a scoop of) the giant baked Camembert
  • Guest DJs
  • Cheesecake
  • Vegan options
  • Full production set
  • Christmas photo booth
  • Giant fireplace
  • Three areas of fun, music, cheese and wine to explore

Well I don't know about you but I was sold before anyone mentioned that you'd be served by giant mice.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday November 1 at 12pm. Find out more information here.

In the meantime, why not pick up a cheese advent calendar?

The calendar features 24 individually-wrapped cheeses (five varieties), including Applewood and Jarlsberg and will be sold in ASDA.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the blogger behind the invention, Annem Hobson, said: "Cheese. I love it. I'd go as far as saying I love it more than chocolate.

"After searching high and low and discovering there shockingly wasn't already one on the market, I launched a campaign after creating one handmade prototype last Christmas.

"The response was overwhelming with over 11,000 of you cheese lovers signing up to get one in 2017.

"After a busy year of figuring out packaging, wrapping my head around contracts, retailers, trademarks and more, I'm thrilled to announce they will be on sale in Asda stores nationwide!"

The calendars cost £9.99 each, and are going on sale in ASDA stores on Monday, November 6.
