Uber Eats Is Giving Away Free Kebabs This Valentine’s Day

Valentine's Day can be a difficult time of year if you haven't found that special someone, or even if you have.

OK, Valentine's Day is just a pretty horrible time of year, but stick around because it's about to get a whole lot more interesting.

Uber Eats is here to save the day by offering up a free kebab for every kebab you buy this February 14th.

Yes, that's Buy One Get One Free Kebabs.

It gets better too, because it isn't just kebabs, the deal also applies to certain other items on their takeaway menus, as well as Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

I mean, who needs a partner if you've got two kebabs and two pots of ice cream? They'd only cramp your style.

Sure, you could also cement your loving relationship with your partner by slamming down a chicken tikka doner each. Let's face it; it's cheaper than any deal you could get in a restaurant on V Day.

Also, you've now got the option of convincing another single friend to come around and enjoy a takeaway with you whilst you avoid the whole charade together.

The deal will be in effect across more than 600 restaurants on Uber Eats, including at places like Prezzo and Frankie and Benny's so even if you're not a doner connoisseur you can still find something.

It runs for five days too - so you can still get the deal until Sunday, you've just got to order through the Uber Eats app.

Uber Eats did a bit of research and discovered that the most ordered meal last Valentine's Day was the humble doner kebab, which - I might add - will never cheat on you, force you to go to its parent's house, or demand commitment from you.

Toussaint Wattine, General Manager of Uber Eats said: "While many lovebirds will be out wining and dining on the 14th, this year we want to make Valentine's period all about celebrating friendship and love whether you're in a relationship or not.

"So if you're still holding out for your soulmate or simply want to show your friends how much you care, ditch the single doner kebab and enjoy two meals for the price of one with your bestie."

So that's Valentine's Day sorted for you. Even if you can't find a friend or a partner to share with, you can always put one kebab in the fridge for when you wake up the next morning hung over, confused, and alone.

There's always a silver lining.
