Veganism is becoming increasingly popular - particularly in January.

Every year more and more people are experimenting with adopting a plant-based diet, and often they're pleasantly surprised.

But there are still those out there who consider a meal incomplete if it doesn't include meat, so Vibrant Vegan has launched a bid to convert the most committed of carnivores.

The vegan meal subscription company is looking for the 'UK's biggest meat lover' to fill their 'Vegan Curious Coordinator' vacancy.

The role will require the meat muncher to adopt a plant-based diet for three months, during which period they will be paid the equivalent of a £50,000 salary per month - which works out as £4,167 a month, £12,500 in total.

On top of this, they will be provided with an unlimited supply of vegan ready meals to help them through.

They will also have the optional support of a registered nutritionist and chef in order to help them adjust to a meat-free diet.

At the end of the three-month period, if they have been converted to the plant-based life, they will have the option of signing a contract extension for the rest of 2021, committing them to going meat-free for the rest of the year. In return, they shall receive a lifetime supply of Vibrant Vegan meals.

The ad for the role reads: "Are you adamant that you need meat in your life? Do you eat meat three meals a day, seven days a week? Can you not imagine a life without it? If this is you, then you could be in with a chance of earning a £50,000 pro rata salary by becoming our Vegan Curious Coordinator.

"As our Vegan Curious Coordinator, it will be your role to trial and test vegan produce from a devoted carnivore's perspective and share your honest thoughts on social media.

"For a three-month period, you will have to take on the challenge of not consuming any animal by-products. You will get an unlimited supply of our vegan ready meals to keep you going, and have our registered nutritionist on hand to help you plan meals, while a chef will also be available to help you adjust to your new meat-free diet.

"The successful applicant will get paid a pro-rata salary of £50,000 for the three-month period."

Applicants must be aged 18 to 65 years old and are required to give an example of their current meat-heavy diet as part of the application, as well as an explanation of why they think they're right for the role.

Iain Burke-Hamilton, founder of Vibrant Vegan, said: "There was a time when being vegan was an all or nothing lifestyle choice; and vegan food options were considered lesser than their meat-based counterparts.

"As we head into the New Year, we at Vibrant Vegan want to demonstrate not only the health and environmental benefits of being vegan that we hear so much about, but also highlight that vegan food can, and should, be enjoyed by everyone. Even the UK's biggest meat lover!

"We're incredibly excited to hire our first Vegan Curious Coordinator and to watch them share their journey with people that love good food and are interested in a vegan lifestyle but perhaps feel it's too much of a commitment or simply aren't sure where to start.

"Everyone has their own reasons for choosing veganism; we want to show it doesn't have to be all or nothing, and you don't have to sacrifice good food for the cause."

Applications are open now and close on 25 January, with the role beginning on 1 February.
