Wonderful News: Booze-Filled Doughnuts Exist

What's better than a delicious doughnut? A delicious doughnut filled with booze.

Yup, some genius has come up with the idea of filling the sugar-carby treats with alcohol and I can honestly say I have never been more on board with an idea in my life.

Liverpool-based Dirrty Doughnuts creates absolutely sick-looking doughnuts, with a naughty little edge.

The company currently offers white-chocolate-espresso martini doughnuts, Guinness-infused ones and Jack Daniels and Coke flavour. Amazing.

Co-founder Jemma Clark told the Liverpool Echo: "I've always seen doughnuts as being a little work of art. Something as simple as icing and a few sprinkles is so appealing to the eye.

"We wanted to create something that was a bit different to a cupcake but that you could decorate, we also wanted to create novelty doughnuts that could replace a birthday cake."

Jemma, who runs the business from her home with her sister, Jess, added: "I have always enjoyed baking and cooking from a young age.

"My mum used to do cake decorating when I was a young girl and I loved watching her.

"In my twenties, I decorated cakes - mostly novelty cakes, mainly for friends and family. I loved doing this but I never had the confidence to do it professionally.

"One day me and my sister, Jess, were talking about starting our own business and we were trying to think of something a bit different and original. That's where the doughnuts came in.

"In my twenties, I decorated cakes - mostly novelty cakes, mainly for friends and family. I loved doing this but I never had the confidence to do it professionally.

"It's hard work but hopefully it will be worth it in the end."

As well as the boozy creations, Jemma and Jess offer a massive selection of amazing flavour combinations, including'sweet-shop' doughnuts, covered in retro sweets and sprinkles; Nutella-filled; Jammy Dodger ones, which are topped with tiny Jammy Dodger, and Crunchie and salted caramel loaded doughnuts.

The Dirrty Doughnuts Instagram page is definitely worth checking out but be warned that it will kick off your sweet tooth.
