There's no denying that some video games are expensive. But, with all the blood, sweat and tears that staff pour into developing a modern game, they obviously need to be rewarded for their incredible work.
Gamers have been waiting with intense anticipation for the latest installation of the God of War series and while £49 might seem like it's a lot, critics say it's well worth the price tag.

Not bad if you ask me.

IGN's Jonathan Dornbush wrote: "I have audibly said 'wow' and sighed at the beauty of God of War.
"The texture of grassy hills in the distance feel real, light dances dazzlingly off of shinier surfaces, and every gnarled monster I have fought conveys such a sense of decay as to instil terror in me. Even the sky looks nearly photo-realistic."
The Gods of God of War have previously been Greek - Kratos, the main character, was a fallen Spartan warrior, something of an antihero who was tricked into killing his family by a vengeful demigod, who later ascended to being a God himself.
This instalment in the series pivots to the realm of Norse gods - think Thor - and thus features brand new environments, brand new camera angles and subsequently, altered gameplay.
