Jim Porterfield's life was irrevocably changed in 1981 when he was involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver.
He had to undergo a whopping 13 surgeries to help fix the various serious injuries he sustained and while he survived the crash, he's been left with serious physical and mental disabilities.

Despite this, he managed to bring one of his daughter's (and the internet) to tears after a small, but touching gesture.

Morgan Porterfield posted on Twitter a picture of her dad's medication bottle that was full of small change and a message that said the money was for her to get a coffee.

Her post has been liked more than 270,000 times, with thousands of people sharing her story.
She added on her social media account: "I just want to thank everyone for how loving and supportive you have been.

"My father is my inspiration and I love him so much. In addition, he has a lot of medical needs so if you could retweet the GoFundMe in the replies it would mean so much. Love you all this is incredible."
Incredibly, in just six days more than $14,000 has been raised by close to one thousand people on the family's fundraising page.

The site says: " Due to all his medical conditions, his bills have always been quite staggering. Without good coverage right now we are very concerned about how his medical bills are adding up.
"We are hoping he can just make ends meet until he is eligible for Medicare but due to the waiting period imposed on people with disabilities, he will not be eligible for that until March of 2020.
"I had no idea so many people would even care! I am feeling beyond blessed and grateful. I can't wait to surprise him with what has been gifted.
"I know he will try to return it all. He absolutely hates taking any help from people. Ultimately I know he will be so grateful. I am hoping we can put some of the funds towards a lift chair since he has such trouble getting up out of chairs.
"My heart is filled with so much joy."
