What an incredibly brave man.

A hero journalist was stabbed in the throat after attempting to help a bouncer who was being attacked by terrorists.

Business editor at the Sunday Express, Geoff Ho, who is also a martial artist, ran in to help when he saw what he thought was a 'fight' outside the Southwark Tavern.

He posted on Facebook following the incident...

He wrote: "Don't know whether it was stupid or noble to jump in and break up the fight outside the Southwark Tavern, but two a*******s trying to do over the lone bouncer on the door isn't happening on my watch."

However, as we now know, the 'fight' was actually terrorists who jumped out of a van at Borough Market after mowing down innocent people on London Bridge. They were slashing at people at random, while terrified members of the public hid under tables and in basements.

Geoff was missing after the attack, but has now been found.

He was in intensive care, but is now sitting up in bed. Sadly, he is unable to speak at this time, reports the Mirror.

Speaking to The Age newspaper, friend Isabelle Oderberg, who lives in Melbourne, Australia, said: "He is actually a martial artist and I wouldn't be surprised if he would have stood up and been counted because he's just that type of person.

"He has got an incredibly tight knit group of friends and is immensely loved."

She added that she last spoke to Geoff yesterday. She explained: "We talked about him coming to visit in September and staying with us and meeting my son for the first time [who is] 15 months old.

"He just loves Aussies. He loves the attitude. He loves the lifestyle. And he loves the city, he just loves it."

We hope that Geoff and everyone else injured in the attack has a quick recovery.
