We moan about some rubbish don't we? Some of us complain about the train being late, the fact that it's nice weather again and we have to go to work.

But all those things seem so miniscule and irrelevant in comparison to some people. Take devoted mum, Kirsty Mcdonald for example.

The 26-year-old was diagnosed with cervical cancer following her first routine smear test last year and now she is on her third diagnosis and faces losing the home where she lives with her two young daughters - Eva and Ella.

Because the single mum has exceeded the amount of sick pay she is entitled to she is fearful of no longer being able to keep a roof over her daughters' heads.

According to the Mirror, Kirsty has been juggling work, paying bills, undergoing gruelling chemotherapy and bringing up her two girls - one of whom has a severe disability.

The senior therapy assistant from Warrington, Cheshire, is fearing that without an income she could lose her home as she could face six months to a year off work to fight the latest diagnosis.

Kirsty's sister Jodie and her partner, Sophie Cowle, have set up a GoFundMe page for people to donate money to help Kirsty which has raised just over £10,000($13,000).

Sophie told the Mirror Online: "She's worked right up until the point she can and we understand it's the company policy as she had time off last year for chemotherapy. But she's really worried and stressed. She's panicking about the next year.

"As a family we've tried our best, but there's only so much financially we can do."

Kirsty was first diagnosed with cervical cancer last year after her first smear test. She needed a full hysterectomy which shattered any dreams of falling pregnant again.

With great relief she was given the all clear after the operation and the family thought 'that was it'.

But months later in October, the disease had returned and Kirsty had to endure seven weeks of intense radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Sophie said: "Christmas was a rubbish one to say the least. We helped out and took care of the girls and made sure they were happy.

"Eva has a disability so cannot comprehend what's going on.

"Ella is three and very smart for a three-year-old. She knows mummy is poorly and helps her with the tubes in her arms."

Many friends were in awe of the young mum, who faced the battle with bravery and determination 'beyond her years'.

She was given the all clear again in April and returned to work - eager to keep herself fit and healthy.

But that was short-lived as Kirsty has been told that the cancer has returned for the third time.

Doctors have confirmed that it is aggressive and has spread to her lymph nodes. It is now being classed as secondary cancer.

According to the Mirror, because of the amount of time Kirsty has taken off work from fighting the cancer last year, she is not able to access any further sick pay and faces losing her home - whilst she tries to fight cancer for the third time.

Friends and family are hoping to raise in the region of £40,000($53,141) so Kirsty does not have to worry about money, bills and her mortgage and can concentrate on her two children and fighting cancer.

Kirsty is 'completely blown away' and tells the people who have donated that it 'means more than people will ever know'.

Sophie continued: "Kirsty is bowled over and cries every day about it. We are making it a positive thing. It's not sunk in and she's completely overwhelmed. She can't thank everyone enough.

"Her best friend Charlie said she would shave her head when the page reached £1,000 and within hours it had, so we were like 'Charlie, it's happened' and she did it.

"We have worked out that Kirsty's mortgage payments are £5,000 will be able to pay her mortgage for 12 months and I am hoping that we can exceed this to take the financial burden from her to support her financially in any way she needs.

"I am sure there will be some dark times ahead and we all need to pull together and show her how loved she is and let her concentrate on getting better for her two girls."

Kirsty is currently undergoing three lots of chemotherapy over the next five months at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Wirral, Merseyside.

But if the treatment is unsuccessful, her family is considering using the funds to take Kirsty to Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany.

Among donations, messages of support are pouring in for Kirsty, who is planning to shave her hair off this week and donate it to the Little Princess Trust.

One said: "One of the strongest women I know - I have no doubt you will reach your target! Sending you and your girls lots of love."

Another added: "Third time lucky babes you're so strong you're amazing I love you and am thinking about you."
