Guy Thinks He’s Found An Epic Way To Fly First Class For Dirt Cheap

It's a bit left field, however if you're able to do exactly what Ramy did then you're destined for a cheap flight

Depending on the plane you're flying on, it can be a bit of a brutal experience walking on and having to pass through the First and Business class sections, seeing all those people sipping on champagne and getting caviar, before you head down to crying babies and no leg room in Economy.

It sucks, but hey, that's travelling. We haven't all got a million bucks to splash on a nine-hour trip to Dubai, do we? But one bloke thinks he's come up with an ingenious way to travel First or Business on a long-haul flight without having to take out a small mortgage.

Ramy Wahby booked a ticket from Hong Kong to New York in First class for just £50 ($67) - saving a cool £13,000 ($18,000).

Yeah, you read that right.

He said: "Flying First class with Cathay Pacific Airlines was my favourite experience - from the multiple different lounges to the amount of private space you're provided with, I was blown away.

"The service on board was great - the flight attendants really go above and beyond to make your flight as comfortable and as pleasant as possible.

"My seat on board was as comfortable as my bed at home!"

While some of us make a mad dash to the airport before our trip, literally just making the flight before the doors are closed, Ramy wanted to enjoy his experience to the fullest. The 32-year-old rocked up to Hong Kong International seven hours early to soak up everything on offer.

So not only did he get a three-course meal during the flight, but he also managed to squeeze in two extra meals at the lounges before the plane left.

But how the hell did he manage to wrangle such a good deal?

Well, Ramy says that he spent two years using credit cards to rack up enough air miles to make the trip as cheap as possible.

I guess you've got to spend money to make money.

Yep, Mr Wahby says for 24 months, he booked a bunch of First and Business class flights, which he paid full whack for, just so that he was able to buy one ticket for dirt cheap.

It'd be like seeing an advert saying 'Buy 10 diamond rings and get the 11th free'. Sure, you can say to your mates you got a gratis diamond ring, but you've forked out tons of cash to get it.

Still, f you've got enough money up your sleeve to pay off the credit card bill every month, then Ramy's trick will be pretty brilliant. But if you just about manage to pay for low-cost airlines then you might want to consider finding another way.
