A new study from Japan has revealed that its population has quite a severe sex problem - they ain't getting any!

Japan's National Institute of Population and Social Security Research unearthed that there's a worrying number of virgins among its younger people. You may laugh but apparently it has put Japan's population under threat.

The survey looked at Japanese people aged between 18 and 34. It found that 70 percent of unmarried men and 60 percent of unmarried women are not in a relationship, as reports Japan Times. Not that being single is such a bad thing. I love being able to go to the gym or go out when I want to. Heck, I can even pull should the opportunity ever present itself.

The real worrying point is that the same survey found that around 42 percent of men and 44.2 percent of women admitted that they were virgins. Just think of all those people who don't know what it feels like to [blank space]... cuddle afterwards.

Apparently, this has caused a boom in loneliness. This isn't surprising really considering all those opportunities and 'experiences' all these people are missing out on.

The majority of those surveyed said they want to get married at some point; it's just not clear when.

Many believe this is because of economic uncertainty, which is reshaping the way millennials think about sex and marital choices.

Therefore, the government has urgently asked its people to become hornier.

Well, not quite, but it is pretty much bribing people to fall in love again. In return, the government will offer better childcare services and tax incentives for married couples. The government under the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said it wants to raise the nation's fertility rate from 1.4 to 1.8 by 2025.

Could you just imagine Theresa May putting out an urgent call for young people of the UK to make more babies. Not only would there be a national crisis on our hands but Jeremy Kyle would see an influx of people wanting to join him on his stage for DNA test results.
