Woman Shares Hack To Blow Up Inflatables In 30 Seconds

Woman Shares Hack To Blow Up Inflatables In 30 Seconds

Just in time for summer

One mum has come up with an ingenious way of blowing up her kid's paddling pool - and it takes very little effort, about 30 seconds and means you don't have to splash out on a pump.

I mean, OK, I know it's not one of the biggest problems in life, but who can be arsed sitting there for 20 minutes blowing them up normally, getting a bit light headed and having to take a break every so often. Nobody.

This woman needed a nap after blowing hers up. That's how tiring it is.

I imagine when she thought of this idea, Claire Wilcockson, from Scotland, was doing just that. So the clever woman decided to get all creative.

She posted on the Extreme Bargaining and Coupons UK Facebook group to share her trick. It really is the gift that keeps on giving, this group.

She revealed that she simply attaching the top of a plastic bottle to a hairdryer.

Obviously, do it on a cool setting people, you don't want to get yourself a melty inflatable.

She posted a picture of her hairdryer out into the top of a Pepsi bottle and frankly I believe this woman deserves some sort of medal for her invention.

Just attach the top of a bottle to your hairdryer. It's that simple, pals.

She wrote: "Save yourself some pennies on an expensive pump.

"Cut the top off a juice bottle and use your hairdryer (make sure its on a cool setting obviously)! Pumped up my pool in less than 30 seconds."

The post started racking up the likes, because obviously, it's genius, and soon enough people were sharing the info with their pals.

Tagging a mate, one person put: "I don't need to borrow your pump anymore now."

Another had already cottoned on to the idea, saying: "See I'm not the only one who uses a hair dryer!"

Someone who has obviously been a victim of the aforementioned pain of having to blow them up manually posted: 'Saves us all nearly exploding our lungs every year."

And another said: "Happy days there's our pump sorted for holidays may go get that unicorn inflatable now."

However, beware - a couple of people have tried it with varying levels of success.

One person said: "I destroyed a hairdryer and an inflatable chair when I was a student doing exactly this. And yes it was on cool setting. Its dangerous and stupid."

So try at your own risk and don't blame me if it knackers your hairdryer, but I'll be giving it a go.
