Study Reveals Exactly What Type Of Man Women Find Most Attractive

Is it the dark hair? The deep blue eyes? The muscled-toned body? Nope.

What about a love of politics? A twisted sense of humour? An ability to recite the 'Elements Song' by Tom Lehrer? Nope. Sorry Mr Radcliffe, you're out.

In fact, it appears the type of man that women are most attracted to is one who has a tattoo.

A recently study has found that the literal skin-deep feature of a bloke is preferred by two-thirds of women.

The research was conducted by dating app Type, which found that 64 percent of women stated they'd rather date somebody who has tattoos.

However, the reversal is not necessarily true. Only 39 percent of men said they'd like to date a woman who had tattoos.

The trend remains high though for same-sex couples, with men and women seeing 'some' tattoos as the optimum look.

One of the men in the study was noted as saying that the attraction of tattoos comes from what makes a person 'unique'.

The company owner of Type, Steve Bryson, told Metro: "I've always fancied girls with tattoos ever since I dated a girl at college that had a massive tattoo across her back.

"I think it says something about their personality that they're fun, friendly and up for a good time.

"I've only got one small tattoo myself, but I like girls that have lots of tattoos. It makes them unique - no two tattoos are exactly the same."

Type's CEO, Benno Spencer, added that the study threw up some surprising results.

He said: "We've been surprised just how strong the trends are when it comes to tattoos. So many of our users are looking for someone with a bit of body art - it's clearly a turn on for both men and women."

Staying on the shallow note, a person's accent can also be the centre of a turn on, or a turn off.

A recent investigation into sexy accents looked at 51 of the UK's cities, with Manchester coming out on top. Having said that, the study was conducted by a Mancunian.

Birmingham, Bristol, Hull, Sheffield and Wolverhampton all finished in the bottom ten, as London, Cambridge, Gloucester and Salford came in at the other end of the scale.
