Tens of thousands gathered to see the US rapper over the weekend, but became terrified when it came to collecting their belongings.

Tens of thousands gathered to see the US rapper over the weekend, but became terrified when it came to collecting their belongings.

Twickenham Stadium's new rules, which were implemented for security reasons, meant that only bags of 'approximately A5 size' were allowed in. According to the MailOnline, anyone who brought a bag larger than the required size was forced to put it into storage. But after the show, the returns system went into melt down.

Frightened fans were shoved into a small queuing area where crowds began crushing each other to get to the front.

According to witnesses, a limited number of staff struggled to match the bags to their owners and ended up holding bags in the air asking who they belonged to.

Many people have also taken to social media, complaining that their expensive belongings were stolen as a result of the chaotic system.

It has been reported that the queues lasted for over two hours and some people missed their transport home from the popular rugby stadium.

Some of the concert-goers also revealed they were 'scared' of being trampled on.

One said: "Absolutely disgusting from @TwickersEvents last night at the @Eminem concert. Not allowed to take handbags in so que to leave them in an unsecured area.

"Come out of the concert and queue for 2 1/2 hours with thousands of other people, I couldn't move, I was being crushed.

"I was being completely crushed at the front for over an hour and NO STAFF bothered to help me despite me shouting.

"None of us could breathe, it was an absolute disgrace. I was panicking. Police didn't help either."

Another added: "It was absolute chaos after show, took 1.5 hrs to get on train and subsequently missed last train back home!

"Staff tried but had no control at all, put me off going back there ever again to a concert! Never had that at Wembley or O2".

And a third said: "We queued for nearly 2.5hrs, staff were throwing bags into the crowd by the end. People climbing up the containers/fences.

"One security guy took £20 off a guy to go get his bag for him!! Was shocking. Police didn't care at all it was dangerous at times."

Another fan had her purse and gig merchandise stolen; her daughter said: "Absolutely appalled with the bag drop off service last night at @Eminem concert at Twickenham Stadium.

"My mum has had her bag stolen because the security were just throwing bags anywhere for people to grab. It has a lot of valuable things in."

A spokesperson for Twickenham Stadium said: "In line with the policy set for this event, fans were advised not to bring bags with them.

"On the night there was a limited bag drop facility available operated by the promoter. Unfortunately this did not meet our usual standards.

"We'd like to apologise to all those who were impacted. We worked with the promoter and had a new process for Sunday's show to ensure this doesn't happen again."
