Now, I love Christmas as much as the next person, but selling seasonal cards in August is a bit much, isn't it? It's still the summer holidays for kids (and teachers, if you made a clever career choice).
With 132 days still to go until the big day, Card Factory has whipped out its Christmas stock. People on social media seem amazed at the move from the chain, who are getting very ahead of the game.
Photos posted show the retailers' shelves dedicated to festive cards, gift bags and even Santa hats and decorations

There are also calendars and diaries for sale, for those that really want to get 2019 out of the way.
Some people took to Twitter to express their amazement that the Christmas goods were on the shelves so early.
Not everybody is annoyed though - some Christmas lovers expressed their excitement for the festive season.
However, as one person, who presumably works for Card Factory pointed out - there's no supply without demand.
As if the torrential rain and cold weren't enough to remind us that summer is GONE, Card Factory have gone and done it for us.
