Missguided Are Selling Christina Aguileran Style Miniskirts That Takes Mini To Another Level

Is this the very definition of a miniskirt, or is this not a skirt whatsoever?

It's the swinging sixties and a mother in a long tweed skirt is admonishing her daughter, who is dressed up for a night out in a skirt that reveals a bit of knee.

"You can't go out like that, you'll catch a death of cold," says Mildred (she's called Mildred).

"Ohhh it'll be fine mum, it's actually surprisingly mild for this time of year," the daughter (who has no name) replies.

"But you look like a bloody tart!" Mildred barks, shaking with unsettled rage.

"Jeez take a chill pill Milds. I'm gonna be off my tits on LSD, worming my way around the discotheque in half an hour. So what if my skirt is above the knee?" the daughter asks.

Fast-forward to 2018 and Mildred is turning in her grave, which she has been lying in since the late sixties, when she had a heart attack after her daughter revealed an ankle sock and low neckline shirt ensemble.

Yes, it seems Mildred was right after all, the knobbly knee threshold was crossed and skirts have crept up and up to the point that Missguided are now selling skirts that are only five inches long.

And what happens if you wear five inch skirts? That's right - your undergarments are left on show for the whole world to see.

The Missguided mini skirt is very, very mini indeed.

The product is described as a 'black mini pleated skirt' with a 'super short fit'... The phrase, 'no shit Sherlock' springs to mind.

However, if you like a bargain then you can pick it up for only £5 ($6.40). That said, is it really a bargain, when you consider how much material you are actually getting for your money? Plus the chain isn't included.

Presumably, the 'skirt' was inspired by Christina Aguilera's, in the music video for 'Dirrty'. However, many people online seem unsure whether the garment can really be classed as a skirt at all.

One person said: "Missguided....hun....that's not a skirt, that's a belt."

Another said: "Can this really be considered a skirt? Missguided?? U OK hun?? X"

Say what you like about the skirt in question, but the company reported a £209 million annual turnover last year, so they must know something about clobber.
