Traffic Warden Covered In Milkshake After Ticketing Disabled Woman

Shake that one off.

A traffic warden had a milkshake thrown over him after appearing to give a disabled woman a parking ticket.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, September 8, saw the warden covered in the drink by two chaps that didn't take too kindly to his actions.

The video clip shows a blue car parked seemingly within a marked bay on a main road in London with the high-vis-wearing man ticketing the vehicle.

Frustratingly stood next to him, arguing the fine, is a woman in a red dress and a woman in a wheelchair on the pavement nearby.

The angry onlooker, highlight the point in hand, saying: "Look, she's clearly in a wheelchair, he's putting a ticket on her car, what a dickhead."

In a bid to serve up their own justice, and heeding to the moral of 'treat others as you wish to be treated' they start the engine and head towards the warden.

With a simple 'Oi' to attract his attention, the man turns around and is covered in the milkshake drink.

They quickly speed away before the warden has any time to react, with a lorry driver, driving in the opposite direction, gives them the thumbs up in approval.

The person who recorded the video, who has remained unnamed, said: "I saw a woman getting a parking ticket when she was with a woman in a wheelchair and it seemed really wrong, so I served my own kind of justice."

The UK government website states that blue-badge holders, and, in fairness, it's unclear if the disabled woman had one of these on display, states users can park for free in certain areas.

  • On streets with parking meters or pay-and-display machines for as long as you need to.
  • In disabled parking bays on streets for as long as you need to, unless a sign says there is a time limit.
  • On single or double yellow lines for up to three hours unless there's a 'no loading' sign.

The website also clearly states: "You can't use your Blue Badge everywhere - for example in some areas of London."

If this was the case, then maybe the traffic warden has a point - however, it is unclear which part of London this took place in.

Misuse of the badge could land you with a £1,000 ($1,319) fine.
