Harvester Has Started Selling Its Famous Sauces

The result of an online outcry.

Taking a bit of the harvester home with you used to be something that only the Wurzels could look forward to, but now everyone will have that opportunity.

Of course, the Harvester that we're talking about it is the beloved chain of pubs and more specifically, their wildly popular range of sauces.

The pub giant made their name offering a decent price for a family feed - not to mention the famous giant salad bar - with a line in grilled meats, but of late they've been getting an increasing number of calls on social media for their range of sauces to be made available to purchase.

"We're so excited to be giving our guests the opportunity to take a little bit of Harvester home with them," said Anneli Fereday, the chain's Marketing Manager.

"Since our sauces were introduced, people have been asking how they can get their hands them and so now they will be able to add the unique Harvester flavouring to their favourite foods this summer."

They're on sale in six flavours - Kickin' Garlic, Bourbon, Spiked Maple, Peri-peri, Dukes Smokey Ketchup and Triple H Hot Sauce - and retail for just £3.49 for a 495g bottle, making them more than affordable as well.

Those social media fans who clamoured for the squeezy table bottles to be on their home tables too got the chance to pick their favourites online, with the six selected flavours the result of an online outcry.

"@HarvesterUK is kickin' garlic sauce now available to buy by the bottle?" wrote one tweeter, while another requested "@HarvesterUK do you sell your bourbon sauce separately? I'm actually in love," and a third wrote "@HarvesterUK Caribbean Piri-Piri sauce is really delicious and would like to take it home, Are they on sale to take home?"

Well, as they say, you never get if you don't ask. Social media outcry + public relations open goal = guaranteed to happen marketing no-brainer. That's just maths, and you can't argue with maths.

Of course, there are cynics among us who might suggest an ulterior motive for the mathematicians down in Harvester head office for wanting to make the sauces available for hardcore fans to buy.

If they're anything like Nando's sauces, it's entirely possible that large numbers of them were being subtracted from their tables when nobody was watching, only to become additions to the store cupboards of unscrupulous diners...
