​Morrisons Launches Giant Meat Pack For £10

A sausage butty to start the day is up there with the best of life's simple pleasures - as is a big bowl of spaghetti bolognese after a long day at work, or a plate of roast pork to round off the weekend.

Well, now Morrisons will be giving you the chance to buy all the necessary ingredients to make two weeks of meaty goodness become a reality - all just for a tenner, too.

In celebration of National Butcher's Week, the supermarket chain will be launching a 2.3kg Meat Pack containing enough fresh red meat to feed a family for a fortnight.

Inside the pack you'll find the equivalent of the amount of red meat the average family eats in two weeks, with enough for several meals.

The pack contains:

• 900g Pork Loin Joint
• 420g Steak Mince
• 450g Lean Diced Beef
• 8 'The Best' Pork Sausages

That means you've got the solid beginnings for a roast on Sunday (and potentially more, if there are any leftovers to repurpose), before branching out into some of Britain's most beloved staple dinners.

From speedy mid-week meals like sausage and mash, burgers, spaghetti bolognaise and chilli con carne through to slower, juicier one-pot dishes like beef stew or sausage casserole, you'll be able to go pretty much wherever your tastebuds take you.

Of course, if you haven't got a hungry family to feed, that's also no problem. Invite your mates round for a slap-up dinner, treat your mum to a roast, woo that love interest of yours with the smell of sizzling sausages in the morning (ooh er), fire up an early BBQ - the world's your oyster, and no one needs to know that you only forked out £10 on the your haul.

You could also use the pack for some ultimate meal prepping - packing that freezer of yours with box upon box of protein-heavy greatness that'll last you a fair while.

Aidan Buckley, Meat Buyer at Morrisons, said: "Meat is typically one of the most costly items in customers' baskets.

"This British meat pack makes it more affordable so customers can enjoy it with their families."

With the deal, customers will save themselves save £5.03 - which works out as 30 percent cheaper than buying each individual cut of meat.

The packs will be available at in-store Morrisons butchers counters throughout National Butcher's Week, which runs until 18 March.
