Kerri Macari – An Apology

Kerri Macari – An Apology

An apology

We refer to an article published on LADbible on 1 June 2017 about a woman receiving death threats after her Facebook rant about a homeless hero of the Manchester bombing in May 2017. A link to the article was also published on LADbible's Facebook page.

The article and Facebook post included the below photograph of Kerri Macari of Manchester. The photograph appeared on our Facebook page above the caption "Mum Slams Manchester Homeless Hero in Rant for 'Getting a Council House Before Her'" together with the quote "He's probably drugged up on heroin". The story, however, made no mention of her.

Caters

In fact, not only did Ms Macari not criticise the bomb hero, she publicly condemned the Facebook post which had criticised him. As soon as LADbible was made aware of the error, the article was removed from our website and social media.

We are happy to set the record straight and apologise to Ms Macari for the damage and distress caused.
