Man Claims To Have Filmed Ghost Knight On Horseback With Drone

The guy is a TV production technical specialist - but let's not let that get in the way of the story

A man claims that he has captured drone footage that shows the ghost of a knight on horseback, galloping through a castle in Gloucestershire.

Thomas Arnold claims that the footage was captured during a mysterious break in contact with his drone that lasted about 10 seconds.

He thought nothing of it, but once he returned home and looked over the footage he spotted the shadowy figure that seems to be moving very quickly through the grounds of Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire.

Arnold only bought the drone two days before he captured the ghostly rider from the skies. He maintains that he lost contact with it during the period of filming in which the ghost is seen.

When he lost his connection with the drone, he activated the function that forces the drone to come back to him, and then discovered the apparition afterwards.

Forty-one-year-old Arnold, who is a TV production technical specialist (so nothing suspicious about the footage then) explained: "When I saw it, I said, 'Oh my god, what's that?' I started zooming and rewinding and there was definitely something there.

"Where the footage was shot, the drone lost contact with the control, which was with me.

"I pressed the 'return to home' key, but it wasn't until I got home that we noticed what I would describe as an apparition going through the courtyard.

"I have looked online and I can't find any HD footage of a ghost so I think this is really unusual.

"It's clear as day, in daylight and in HD. It's brilliant."

Once he spotted the figure he claims that he then checked over the video for any traces of a logical explanation - chimneys that could have been producing smoke, wind direction, things like that.

However, the only explanation he could find was that it was in fact a spirit galloping through the grounds of the castle.

He continued: "I checked the flight information and I can't find an explanation for it.

"I'm definitely a believer. When I was seven or eight, me and my grandfather stopped to talk to a neighbour, Mrs Bramble, and I remember sitting on a bench talking to her.

"We got home and my grandma asked what had kept us, and when we told her we had been talking to Mrs Bramble, she told us she'd died the night before."

Spooky stuff, no? As convincing as it is, it's probably still worth keeping in the back of your mind that the guy is literally a TV production specialist.

Or perhaps that's just churlish and he has actually captured the most convincing footage of a ghost that has ever been recorded.
