Couple Reckon Their Dog Taught Himself How To Say 'Mama'

I need a talking dog

Proving that the phrase 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks' is bollocks, one Russian couple claim that their rescue pooch has taught himself how to speak.

I know what you're thinking because that's what I thought, too, but check it out before you judge:

Come on, that's quite impressive, isn't it? He's obviously not speaking because he's a dog, but that noise he's making does sound like 'mama', doesn't it?

Natalia and Leonid Fedorenko adopted little Bosia 11 years ago and say they've never trained him to speak, but that he just came out with it one day and now he won't stop saying it.

The owners, from Norsk in south east Russia, decided to film Bosia, who can only 'say' the word 'mama' for some reason, and the clip has since gone viral because we all love a talking dog video.

Proud owner Natalia said: "He is a hero. We took him when he was tiny from an animal shelter for stray dogs.

"We had been looking for a tiny dog for a long time."

She added that he is 'so kind' and the perfect pet, who gets on well with kids and other pets. Yeah, and he can fucking speak, which puts him in a league of his own when it comes to dogs, really.

Natalia said little Bosia began to 'mumble' one evening while the family were sat down watching TV, but that they didn't pay much attention to it at the time.

But that mumble was just a warm up to the main event, because the clever doggo began repeating the word 'mama' over and over again. I guess it's not every day you see a talking dog, is it?

Since then, Natalia says Bosia is quite chatty and has taken to saying 'mama' daily. She even reckons he knows what the word means.

She continued: "It seems that he likes saying mama.

"We did not train him on purpose. It all happened by itself."

Surely the next step is to try and teach him more words? Constantly saying 'mama' is all well and good, but wouldn't you think the Fedorenkos would try and expand his vocabulary? I would.
