Pets are often humanised by their owners, being given names like 'Bob', 'Bella' or 'Charlie' before getting paraded around in mini jumpers and coats.
But there's one dog that hasn't needed any help in bridging the gap between the canine and human worlds, being the owner of one very unique face.
Meet Yogi...
Yogi's owner, Chantal Desjardins, told BuzzFeed that she's 'never really noticed' her dog's uncanny resemblance to a human, but that her friends once started 'freaking out' when she posted a picture of him and his eight-year-old Shih Tzu sister, Darla, on her Facebook page.

She also added that the photos are 'not photoshopped at all'.
Chantal had apparently completely forgotten about the photo until she found out that a friend's girlfriend's brother had uploaded it to Reddit - before rapidly going viral.
Naturally, over on Reddit people had plenty to say about the photo - which is somehow hilarious, adorable and weird as hell all at the same time - with one person writing: "Wtf he has the most human eyes I've seen on a dog."

Another said that it was 'disturbing', while others wrote 'Arrgh turn it off', and 'Seriously freaking me out!'
"It's like a person is trying to tell me they're trapped inside a dog's body," one Reddit user wrote.

But it seems there's no reason for anyone to be alarmed, as Chantal said that while Yogi has wise eyes that seem to stare scarily deep into your soul, he's actually a really 'hyper puppy' who just 'wants to cuddle and play'.
And even better yet? Chantal has also posted a photo on Facebook to show that Yogi will even wink at you.
While everyone on Reddit was busy feeling freaked out, the people of Twitter decided to get creative, and tried to work out between them which celebrity Yogi most reminds us of.

Suggestions included everyone from Topher Grace, Christopher Walken, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jared Leto and Nicholas Cage through to Matthew McConaughey, Nick Offerman, Scott Disick, Hulk Hogan, Paul Rudd and Paul Giamatti.
One person even got more specific, writing: "It's circa 1970s Rob Reiner from All in the Family".
Whoever Yogi looks like, there's no denying that he's one amazing dog. Just imagine being able to kick back with a few beers and an episode of Game of Thrones with him - before sharing your life's ambitions and biggest fears, and the wise pooch just really 'getting' you.
