What was supposed to be an innocent update from the Gainesville Police Department, has turned into a hilarious post that has got a lot of people excited.

The picture featured Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering, preparing to get stuck into the hard work of ensuring people's safety during Hurricane Irma.

But most people were more concerned about how attractive the trio is than they were about the Category Four hurricane wreaking havoc on Florida.

Unsurprisingly, the photo sparked a lot of reactions, some of them not really being safe for work.

The Gainesville Police Department hasn't stopped laughing, along with the rest of the world, over some of the comments. They decided that, instead of keeping everyone guessing, they would give a small update on the three officers.

"MRS. Nordman and MRS. Hamill have also enjoyed knowing how millions of women are going crazy over their husbands. We can confirm that Officer Rengering (far right with the amazing hair) IS SINGLE.

"On another note, Officer Rengering is being placed into Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety.

"There WILL be a calendar."

But it seems like they have some healthy competition on their hands after Sarasota Police Department uploaded their calendar worthy picture.

And the comments kept coming.

I don't think many of their fans would complain if they joined forces and made a calendar together.
