Whether you like spiders or not, 'cute' probably isn't the first word that springs to mind when you're asked to describe one.

However, this quality animated short from professional animator Joshua Slice is guaranteed to change that. Just take a look.

There, now you'll never be able to kill an innocent little spider again without remembering that face.

The 20-second animation was voiced by Slice's nephew, Lucas, resulting in a character that sounds just as awesome as it looks.

After chatting about how he has "too many eyes" Lucas exclaims: "Ok. Bye!" before scuttling away and out of shot.

Obviously, Slice is no beginner when it comes to animation. The talented artist has worked on big films such as Disney's Zootopia, Big Hero 6 and Ferdinand.

The animator, who works for Blue Sky Studios, originally posted the video on YouTube and shared it to his personal Facebook page.

After chatting about how he has "too many eyes" Lucas exclaims: "Ok. Bye!" before scuttling away and out of shot.

Obviously, Mr. Slice is no beginner when it comes to animation. The talented artist has worked on big films such as Disney's Zootopia, Big Hero 6 and Ferdinand.

The animator, who works for Blue Sky Studios, originally posted the video on YouTube and shared it to his personal Facebook page.

He said: "This is an animation test of a character I've been working on. I'm responsible for the design, modeling, rigging, animation, lighting and rendering. The voice acting is provided by my nephew, Lucas."

From there it went viral and it seems that the whole internet has fallen in love with Lucas the spider.

Now, internet users who've seen the video are speculating that the character could even get picked up by the likes of Pixar. One thing's for sure - people want more of him.

Well, maybe not everyone.

One guy even created a whole plot for little Lucas.

Joshua has since posted again to thank everyone for checking his video out, saying it warmed his heart that something as simple as a spider could make everyone so happy.

Who knows if we'll see any more of Lucas. I suppose for now we'll just have to keep watching the web to find out.
