People Are Planning A Flash Mob To Say 'Wow' Like Owen Wilson

The Royal Tenenbaums star has such a popular way of saying 'Wow' that there will be an event dedicated to it in Australia next Monday.

It's not often that an actor gets associated with their own word, but Hollywood heartthrob Owen Wilson has done a great job of nailing 'wow' as his own.

The Royal Tenenbaums star has got such an interesting way of saying 'wow' that it's even got its own meme with people using it to soundtrack lightsaber duels and as a sub for Tom Morello's guitar in Rage Against The Machine tracks.

Now thousands of other people are set to mimic their idol - by holding a live action event dedicated solely to the purpose of saying 'wow' like Wilson does.

The event, imaginatively called 'Say Wow Like Owen Wilson At Federation Square', is set to be held in Federation Square in Melbourne, Australia on the evening of 26 February, according to the event's Facebook page.

The event will kick off at 6pm with a 'hype speech from admin' before people ease their way in with some 'warm-up wows', finally giving way to a 'massive group wow' at 6.15.

This will be followed by 'kick-on wows', then presumably a 'wow' from everyone involved at the fact that they all just met up to make this weird endeavour happen.

"Let's put some positivity out there into the world! Let's marvel at the beauty and Wonder of this incredible planet we live on, and let's WOW like Owen Wilson!" the event page reads.

"Invite your friends! Crashing Weddings is so 2005, so let's crash Fed Square instead!"

The event - hosted by Owen Wilson fanpage Owen Wilson Wowposting - is looking mighty popular, with over 4,000 people saying they plan to attend the big wow-athon at the time of writing.

Of course, this is a Facebook event we're talking about, so the actual turnout could be about five people, but it would be amazing if they actually manage to pull it off.

It's just a testament to the cult legend that Wilson has about him, as he always seems game for a laugh no matter the situation.

After all, we recently got him into the LADbible office with 'Big Ed' Helms - Stuart from The Hangover trilogy - and asked the pair to paint portraits of each other with hilarious consequences.

Wilson's starred in some great films, but he may be best known for saying one word. It's not a bad legacy for an actor to leave, really.
