Brazilian Man Suffers Bloody Stabbing But The Sesh Is More Important

22-year-old Elionardo Nascimento got stabbed in the back at a bar in Brazil and was snapped calmly standing in wait for an ambulance

If you got gorily stabbed in the back, what would you do? Freak out as most reasonable people would? Or approach the experience with a zen-like sense of calm?

Apparently for one Brazilian man it was the latter, as he was spotted calmly waiting for an ambulance with a carving knife hanging out of his back. This was after he'd been subject to a brutal attack at a bar in north Brazil.

CHECK OUT THE BRAZILIAN MAN BELOW:

Twenty-two-year-old Elionardo Nascimento had been casually enjoying a drink at a bar in Brasileia, north Brazil, when an unknown attacker ran up and rammed the knife between his shoulder blades, the Daily Mail reports.

Surgeons later said the man only survived because the knife miraculously failed to hit his major organs and missed his spinal column by centrimetres. Cripes.

Terrifyingly, Elinardo said he had no idea who was behind the attack, adding that he hadn't argued with anyone that night. You'd imagine it'd be more than an argument that'd inspire a knifing, but he seems calm enough.

Elionardo said: "I had just come out of the pub to talk to some friends and was standing around outside with a drink in my hand, when a guy ran up, stabbed me in the back and ran off.

"I didn't even see him approach. I just felt a punch in my back which nearly knocked me off my feet.

"I was a bit confused as to what had just happened and when a friend took a look and told me I had a knife in my back, I couldn't believe it."

Footage of the incident shows Elionardo standing by the side of a road calmly waiting for emergency services, apparently relaxed despite all the blood pouring out of his back.

Bystanders can be heard reassuring him that help is on the way and warning him to stay upright and alert rather than falling or lying down.

"At the time, I didn't feel any pain, I think I must have been in a state of shock. But I knew I had to keep upright and calm," Elionardo explained.

"There was no point panicking as this would only have made the situation worse than it was already."

By the time authorities arrived, Elionardo had been given a chair which he'd been able to walk to while waiting for the ambulance. He is now recovering in Rio Branco Emergency Hospital after undergoing surgery to remove the knife.

Amazingly, doctors say that he may not suffer any long term side-effects from the attack at all. That's one lucky escape.

Detective Karlesso Nespoli said: "We were surprised to find the victim alert and not panicking. His composure certainly helped him to stay alive.

"Elionardo was able to tell us what happened, and our preliminary investigations found the knife was new and had only recently been bought.

"At the time of the attack, nobody ran after the suspect as they didn't immediately realise what he had done."

Police are now treating the incident as an attempted murder and have put out a warrant to arrest their main suspect, who they have already identified.
