China’s New Wedding Trend Involves Flying Veils And It’s Extra AF

It looks kind of cool when it works but when it malfunctions it can make the bride look like a bit silly

Let's be honest: Weddings can get a bit extra sometimes.

Thanks to social media, people can get ideas from all around the world to make their special day just that tiny bit more special. Whether it's some pyrotechnics, TV show-themed ceremony, a Cinderella-style horse drawn carriage or even a...flying veil.

Yeah, this seems to be a thing these days at some ceremonies.

Look, some people like to make a dramatic entrance but usually that comes in the form of a jazzy vehicle - not a flying, dementor-looking veil. I might not be sold on the idea, but it seems some people on social media are now desperate to replica the trend.

One person wrote: "If my wedding isn't this extra, I don't want to get married."

While it is pretty cool seeing it land perfectly in place, you'd hate for it to malfunction at any point and then you're left standing there looking like a fool. The video shows what happens when the veil is strewn across the room too fast and ends up in a huge clump on the bride's face.

Well there are worse things that can happen on your wedding entrance.

Unfortunately for this Brazilian couple, as the bride is walking down the aisle to Felix Mendelssohn's wedding march some woman's sexual groans could be heard playing over the loudspeaker.

Churches are designed to have the best acoustics, so the 'ooohs' rang loud and clear for a few seconds until it was turned off. People in the congregation tried as hard as possible to stop themselves from bursting out with laughter but you can hear a few giggles and snickers rippling around the room.

Even worse is the fact that - although you can't see her face - you can tell that the bride is absolutely devastated and horrified at what's happened. As you probably would be, to be fair.

According to the Mirror, friends of the couple said they had downloaded the clip in an attempt to save money by not hiring actual musicians.

The problem is that they didn't listen to the clip all the way through. Which, as we said, given that your wedding day is meant to be one of the most special days of your life, they probably should have.

At the same time, you don't expect someone might have inserted sex noises into the middle of one of the most widely used and well-known pieces in the history of classical music.

Well, this just enforces the idea that 'you get what you pay for'.
