Going on a date, allowing the other person to pay for your dinner and then completely blanking them when they text you afterwards is obviously a pretty shitty thing to do.

However, even under those circumstances, this guy's reaction may have still been slightly OTT.

One woman had been out on a date and having eaten dinner and decided that things probably weren't going to go any further, decided not to respond to his text messages.

But her date wasn't having that and a few weeks after the dinner, she received an invoice in the post, itemising everything she had eaten and drank and asking her to pay the outstanding balance of $39.52 (£27.75).

The woman shared a photo of the invoice on Twitter, pointing out that it even included a $1.99 admin fee, reports the Mirror.

Fully broken down, the invoice asked for $10 for a Moscow Mule, $10 for a beer, and $14.50 for pulled pork tacos. Then there was the $1.99 admin fee, $2.56 for sales tax, and a $0.47 shipping and handling fee.

She said that the invoice was followed up with a text from her date saying that if the balance wasn't settled she would incur further charges and the debt would be handed over to a collections agency.

Other Twitter users were quick to weigh in on the matter and offer their ideas on how she should respond to the request.

"Send him an invoice for the time you wasted on the date," suggested one user.

"Mail it back to him with "LOL" written across the entire thing in red sharpie and fill the envelope with glitter," advised another.

Since the tweets have since been deleted, we're not sure exactly what she chose to do about the invoice, but one thing's for sure - she certainly won't have paid it.
