Exploring your body while you're growing up is an important part of your adolescence. You find out what your body is capable of, how far you can push it and what limitations it has.

But there are always people who are curious. Like really, really curious about their bodies and what they can do.

Take a 12-year-old boy from China who reportedly stuck 39 magnetic beads up his penis because he was 'curious' about what would happen.

The boy had the beads removed through his bladder.

The sheer thought of doing that is enough to make some blokes winch and grab their crotch. Thankfully the boy was all okay, but only after emergency surgery.

Dr Wang Jun of the Wuhan Children Hospital's urology department told Hubei Television the boy arrived at A&E saying he had swallowed the beads, known as Buckyballs.

Sounds pretty innocent, right?

Well, when Dr Jun took an X-ray of the boy, he noticed the balls were in a rather strange arrangement inside the boy's penis. Seems pretty strange that they ended up there if they were swallowed.

After a bit of questioning, the boy later admitted to sticking them up his urethra 'out of curiosity'.

The doctor added: "Painful urination, also known as dysuria, would cause urinary retention, abdominal pain and in some cases, vomiting."

Imagine that many beads being up there?

The Daily Mail said Dr Wang had noticed a rise in cases just like the 12-year-old boy, sparking concern this was a part of some online trend.

It might not be a 'trend' just yet but there are certainly people willing to insert things into their penis.

A 42-year-old man in Vietnam had to get a 10cm chopstick removed from his genitals because he stuck it up there while he was 'blind drunk'.

That's sure to cause one hell of a hangover.

BUT WHY THOUGH?

The man was in the country's southern Dong Nai Province when he stuck it up there and unsurprisingly developed pain in his penis. Geez, I wonder why? So he went to a hospital and they managed to remove it without the patient having to undergo surgery.

It follows a weirdly similar story where a man in his 60s chucked a goddamn metre-long cable into his penis because he had an itch he needed to scratch. I shit you not, he thought that was the best way to cure said itch.

According to the Daily Mail, once the cable was firmly up there, the end of it managed to get tied into a knot in his bladder and when he tried to pull it out, it hurt like hell.

He was rushed to Dalian Hospital in China for treatment and doctors managed to get it out.
