Man Puts His House On eBay After Getting Sick Of 'Time-Wasters' Viewing It

A man is so sick of time-wasters coming to view his property that he's ditched the formality of estate agencies and has put his house up for sale on eBay.

Chris Pollitt is flogging his beautiful, three floor, six bedroom house in Hayfield, Derbyshire on the online auction site after becoming increasingly pissed off with people rocking up to his house for a nose around and no intentions of buying it.

eBay

Chris told LADbible: "It's been on the market around six months, and in that time I've had about eight or nine viewings, but you can tell straight away none of them were serious.

"Since posting on eBay I've had a few messages and they all seem to be more interested in actually buying the place than just coming for a look around."

The house, which comes with a gym, open-plan kitchen and a massive 23ft living room, is set in a pretty village location.

Outside there's a pool, seven-seat hot tub and even an outdoor TV on the raised decking area. I think that's just about as fancy as a garden can get really, isn't it?

You can check out the listing here.

The house also backs onto open farmland so it would be absolutely ideal for throwing wild parties without any neighbours spoiling your fun by calling the police at 3am.

eBay

Bids on the property currently stand at £13,250, but Chris is confident he'll get a fair bit more than that, so confident is he in the power of eBay, the house is listed with no reserve.

"I'm fed up with people coming round and not showing any real interest in actually buying it," Chris adds.

"So, I thought I'd give this a try. I've got nothing to lose really and it's only been up a few hours and seems to have attracted a few bidders.

eBay

Forty-two bidders, in fact, and an added bonus is that if the house does sell through eBay he'll have saved himself a fair few quid in agency fees.

Chris gave the house ten days to sell - with bidding closing on 8 June - so, if you're keen don't hang around.
