Watch this clip of England fans celebrating last night - and watch it closely:

It was posted as part of a compilation on SPORTbible's Facebook page, which let us relive the moment England beat Colombia to reach the quarter finals of the World Cup.

The guys in the video look elated - but there's something a bit off.

Commenting on the compilation video on the SPORTbible post, one eagle-eyed fan wrote: "Skip to 1:24 and tell me where this guy disappears to."

If you re-watch the standalone clip above, you'll want to skip to the 21-second mark.

As soon as the Facebook user pointed it out, no one could unsee it. He's got a really good point.

One person commented: "What a spot - where the fook did he go?"

Another speculated: "Gone straight to Russia!!"

Someone else said: "Noticed that, word has it that he hasn't been seen since"

And someone else reckoned he was just dodging the camera, writing: "He was supposed to be at work. He didn't want his misses to see him!"

Others got a little more, erm, creative with their theories, with another suggesting: "Obviously a time traveller. Rule is you can't be filmed. So when he noticed the camera he left. Simples."

Another agreed: "100% a time traveller."

Ah, well that solves that then, I guess. To be fair, he does seem to spot the camera a split second before disappearing, so maybe that theory isn't so far-fetched after all.

As you can see above, spirits were VERY high after England beat Colombia in the tense match that ended in the penalty shoot-out no one wanted it to reach.

After a long and frankly tiresome build-up, the match itself wasn't the most eventful one, and a great deal of it was punctuated by a couple of incidents that had very little to do with football. Lots of people writhing around on the floor or pointing angrily at the ref - you know the drill.

Many thought it was all over for the Three Lions when they reached the penalty stage last night - given the statistic that England haven't won a shootout since 1990.

But NOPE. It happened. And we all have 24-year-old Jordan Pickford to thank - he saved an absolute screamer as Colombia's Mateus Uribe smashed a volley from at least 30 yards which seemed destined for the top corner. England's flying superhero then saved Colombia's final penalty in incredible scenes.

Yep, we hope your hangover hasn't been too brutal today - there were certainly a few sore heads knocking about the LADbible office this morning.

England now face Sweden in the quarter finals on Saturday...The question is: will our mysterious time traveller be watching?
