Woman Cut Her Finger Off With Bolt Cutters And Now Wears It Around Her Neck

Woman Cut Her Finger Off With Bolt Cutters And Now Wears It Around Her Neck

She's wanted to do it for about a decade and finally went through with it after dinner one night...

Most people would have experienced the feeling of ripping that dangling piece of skin from the side of a fingernail. Sure, while sometimes it comes off easily, it can also hurt like hell as the skin just keeps going and leaving blood everywhere.

There aren't many people who would willingly undergo something like that or even step it up a notch. But that's where Torz Reynolds comes in. Torz not only ramped it up a bit; she took it to a completely different level.

The Essex woman thought it would be 'cute' if she cut off part of her pinky finger, named it Wiggles, and put it in a small jar to wear around her neck.

I absolutely shit you not, the 30-year-old bought a glass vial, filled it with an alcohol solution to prevent the finger from rotting, and wears it as a necklace because it 'looks cute'.

But this wasn't something Torz did on a boozy night out or on a whim; it's an idea that has been brewing in her noggin for a decade.

She said the digit was originally sitting in a freezer next to some frozen peas, adding: "I forgot it was there. You don't want to waste it so why not turn it into a necklace?

"'I thought a necklace would be the easiest thing to make and I wanted to do something to mark Wiggles' first birthday."

Reynolds even had a wee photoshoot for the shortened Wiggles and added some quirky little hats.

"The hats were a present from my boyfriend for Wiggles' birthday. I thought it was brilliant, they look like they're the Village People," she said.

"A lot of people have said they're awesome - everyone knows I don't take anything seriously."

She was inspired to go ahead with the chop after a mate of hers did it. In preparation for the self-imposed amputation, she practiced bending it backwards to see how she'd do without it. After finishing dinner, she numbed the finger and then cut it off with bolt cutters.

Fucking bolt cutters.

Now if you thought that was strange, Torz had a very peculiar way of showing her emotions when she found her boyfriend was cheating on her. After the shocking revelation came to light in 2014, she cut off a tattoo on her forearm with a scalpel and posted the piece of flesh to him.

She said: "I packaged it up so it really did look like a present. I even used different handwriting so he'd have no idea that it was me.

"I can't imagine what his reaction was. I wish I could have been there to see it."
