A woman who became famous for planning to marry her chandelier (yep, you read that right) has revealed her new tattoo dedicated to her fiancee.

Despite already being engaged to the century-old chandelier called 'Lumiere', Amanda Liberty, 34, has gone one step further to show how committed she is to her love - by going under the needle for one and a half hours.

We hope Lumiere was pleased with the finished product that's for sure.

The Leeds native had the colourful inking of Lumiere, which is on her left arm, designed by Alice Perrin from hit E4 TV show Tattoo Fixers.

Here's Amanda Liberty with her fiancee 'Lumiere'.

Amanda identifies as objectum-sexual, which means she feels attraction to objects and not people after first falling in love with a drum kit at the age of 14.

She since went on to love New York's iconic Statue of Liberty, even changing her surname by deed poll to Liberty. You just can't make this stuff up.

Amanda, who has one other tattoo, an American flag on her right upper arm, said: "When I first saw Lumiere I knew she was the one for me - it was love at first sight. I was excited to see the end result. Before I got it done I was very nervous about the needle, I'm not the biggest fan of them, but it wasn't too nerve-wracking.

Amanda Liberty was being tattooed for an hour and a half.

"The first time I saw the tattoo, it was amazing - Alice's tattoo was the best fit and I chose her because of it. I was so pleased to see the final result, it was incredible.

"Lumiere also thought it was brilliant, she gave me the energy telling me it was great. She tells me when she doesn't like things but she really likes the tattoo."

Lumiere, who was originally 'born' in Germany 91 years ago, is 28 inches wide and first caught Amanda's eye when she stumbled across her soon-to-be wife on eBay. Amanda has not yet found a venue for her ceremony which will be open to such unusual nuptials.

You mean to say there's not places all across the UK that can marry you to a inanimate object?!

Amanda is currently trying to find someone to hold her wedding to chandelier called 'Lumiere'.

She said: "We don't have anything booked yet, I have friends all over the world and I want all of them to be there. I don't want to marry her without lots of people there, I don't want it to be just me and Lumiere.

"She has such a beautiful shape, and I feel really amazing energy coming from her."

Despite a mainly positive reaction to her engagement, Amanda admits she has faced some backlash since going public with her engagement.

She also plans to travel over to New York to see 'Libby' - her former partner, the actual Statue of Liberty - and said the pair are still firm friends.

The happy couple - Amanda Liberty and fiancee Lumiere.

Amanda, who has more than 30 chandeliers, said: "People just think I'm just batty - they don't take the time to get to know me. The term 'fruit loop' has been used numerous times. I love Lumiere and want to be with her for the rest of my life.

"None of my chandeliers are jealous of each other, they understand that I love them all for all of their different personalities.

"For example, I love kissing and cuddling Lumiere, but I sleep with Jewel, another chandelier, every night, as she is portable and very nice to cuddle."

We wonder whether Lumiere is secretly not best pleased. Well, if it's any consolation, Amanda has you inked on her skin - not portable, cuddly Jewel.
