Say what you want about the Transformers movie franchise and Michael Bay's 'just blow it up' approach to directing, but this is a lovely story.
Yes, they are all total garbage (except the original), but anything that makes dogs happy makes me happy too.
After being dubbed 'Britain's loneliest dog', Freya the Staffordshire bull terrier has finally landed a home and a job in Transformers 5.
According to Complex, the pooch has been passed over for adoption by 18,000 different potential pet parents in the six years she has spent at the Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre in Liverpool.

Michael Bay is an animal lover though and Freya will no longer have to be a loner.
The director apparently caught wind of Freya's situation via Facebook. Luckily for Freya, Transformers 5 is filming in the UK this summer, so the timing really is perfect.
Bay also added that if no-one else wants to adopt the animal that he will take her in as his own pet.

The rescue centre took to Facebook to express their gratitude: "Thrilled at the opportunity of a movie deal for Freya, and at such interest and support from a major film director who is also a dedicated animal advocate".
Shout out to Freya who will no doubt prove be the most watchable aspect of the movie.
