Snapchat Now Has Cat Lenses So Your Pet Can Share The Limelight

Snapchat has introduced several very special selfie filters for you and your pussy(cat) - don't get the wrong idea, guys

Ever sat in bed going through your Snapchat filters, seeing which one does you justice, which one you're never going to use ever again and then BAM you come across one for you and your furry friend.

No? Well try it now and you'll be able to find the latter.

People use Snapchat for many different reasons: some overuse the hell out of it on a night out, others send obscene pictures for the crack, and now there's a new user in town. The crazy cat lady.

So, now that your beloved pet can get in on the action, the world is literally your oyster.

According to the Mirror, the social media app has introduced three lenses for cats, meaning the app is now able to detect feline faces, whereas it has previously only been able to detect human ones - as much as we've tried to swap faces with our pet.

The new range of filters include glasses and flower crowns for your kitty, unicorn horns as well as fiery red devil horns and wings.

The majority of users are absolutely delighted although there are still some complainers - because, well, people love to complain.

But how can anyone be dissatisfied about this news? Dog owners, that's who.

One ranted: "What?!? For cats? What kind of sick world is this?? Make lenses for dogs!!"

Another added: "This is the first thing positive snap has done in two years that customers actually wanted. It's a shame it involves cats #teamdog".

With a third chiming in: "What about dogs?!!! Dogs are better than any cat!!!!"

Well that's a bold statement, which I for one definitely disagree with. What's cuter than this:

To be fair, it could better - with a unicorn filter that is.

Those looking to try the new filters can find them in the carousel alongside the existing lenses for humans.

You will be able to distinguish the cat filters from the regular ones by looking for a blue paw print icon. Enjoy and you're welcome.
