Some rivalries are so brutal you really couldn't care whether your nemesis lives or dies. And 50 Cent's rap rivalry with Rick Ross is clearly one of those.

Now 50 has taken it to the next level, mocking his mortal enemy - who, lest we forget, is currently on life support in hospital - by posting a photo of villain Ivan Drago from Rocky IV on Instagram.

In case you don't get the reference, the precise scene that shot is from comes straight after Drago pulverises Rocky's mate Apollo Creed. As Creed lies dying on the floor, Drago callously says, "If he dies, he dies." That shit is cold.

50's shot at Ross comes just days after Ross was admitted to hospital with suspected pneumonia after he was found unresponsive at his home early on Thursday morning.

A police report obtained by The Blast found that whoever called emergency services reported that Ross was 'slobbing out the mouth' and that he had also 'boo-bood himself'.

Of course, 50 loved reading details like that, and posted a news article about the incident on his Instagram feed with the most telling of captions: 'No comment'.

Despite pretending he had nothing to say, 50 couldn't help but mouth off in the comments of the post, making hot takes like 'Who gonna clean that up?'

"Look people this is not about me," 50 added. "it's about when the lemon pepper came out." Brutal. He later deleted the post after more info about Ross' condition emerged.

50 and Ross have been beefing with one another for almost a decade in one of the most bitter feuds in the rap world.

Their rivalry has included diss tracks, slights over social media and in interviews, and lawsuits. In 2009, 50 even posted a sex tape of Lavonia Leviston, the mother of Ross' daughter, commentating the tape as his alter-ego Pimpin' Curly.

50 was eventually ordered to pay Leviston $5 million in damages due to the emotional distress that it caused her.

During the trial, Leviston said: "It was like someone had just took a knife, stabbed me in the heart, twisted it and took it out."

50 making fun of a severely ill man - even one he hates - is both incredible and a little bit pale. Wonder how Ross will respond, when he is able to.
