Argentinian Weather Presenter Insures Her Famous Bum For £72,000

A weather presenter in Argentina has insured her world-famous bum for a whopping £72,000 (2 million Argentine pesos/$100,000) to protect it.

Twenty-four-year-old Sol Perez is something of a national sweetheart in Argentina, and has racked up millions of followers on social media - who consider her the country's sexiest weather girl.

She presents the weather on the TyC Sports channel, but it's her many social media snaps that get most people talking, regularly sharing photos of her out partying or lounging by the pool in skimpy bikinis.

And it's those snaps that have helped make her bum a world-famous one - so much so that she's now reportedly insured her widely-loved derriere for a cool £72,000, having found a company willing to offer up a suitably sizeable settlement for her most-prized asset.

That means that if anything happens to the star's rear, she'll receive a hefty payout, which must have been good news to Perez, who has admitted that it's not been easy achieving her look.

She revealed that she'd gained over 10 kilograms of body weight due to an intense workout regime, and that it was a combination of fitness and weightlifting that gave her tiny frame the best results.

According to the Mirror, she said: "I like the culture around fitness and the atmosphere of a gym.

"It is trendy to post workout pictures at the moment but I only share what I want others to see."

It was recently announced that Perez would be replaced by a new presenter, 25-year-old Marina Senuk - but only while Perez performs in a theatre show called La Isla Encantada (The Enchanted Island) in Cordoba.

"I could not be more nervous! I want to tell you that there is a nice surprise coming among the TyC Sports family," Senuk said, reports the Daily Star.

Local media have, however, been speculating whether or not Perez will return to the TV channel - largely because it's not the first time she's ventured out of weather presenting. Surprisingly, she once entered into the world of boxing, appearing as a 'ring girl' for Omar Narvaez's bantamweight fight with Russian boxer Nikolai Potapov.

Plus, given that she's reportedly been paid a huge £250,000 ($348,500) for the seven performances involved for La Isla Encantada - something that apparently didn't go down too well with her co-stars - it doesn't sound like she's doing too badly exploring other career routes.
